Thanks, 24" barrel?Howa 1500 varmint in a KRG Bravo or Oryx chassis would be a good start. The new HACT trigger is already pretty decent but with a lightened trigger spring it's very nice.
I was wondering if you guys can give me your expert opinion on my first .223 rifle.
Rifle will be used for target shooting only, must be accurate with a light trigger pull.
Will be grateful for your opinions.

I'd send this seller an inquiry, if the barrel is a fast twist (1:7" or 1:8") and you can stand the drive to Wales, I'd buy it.
Savage target rifles have features which are quite handy to have (very light trigger, end user barrel change).
What do you think of Tikka T3X Tact A1 Rifle 20" barrel? There’s been loads of best rifle threads recently. Any new rifle is usually very good from Howa, Bergara, tikka, Remington, Mauser, Sako, sauer etc. look for a 1in 8 twist and put a it in a decent stock and you’re away. Go to your local red and handle some. Some will feel better than others. A cheapo Howa in a good stock and a little fettle from a gunsmith will easily out shoot you or I.
Yes especially if you're planning on the heavier bullets. Although I think the older Howas are a 1:9 twist which is ok for 69 grain HPBT it's a bit marginal for a tipped matchking type bullet. The newer ones may be a 1:8 twist so worth checking. Howa do good packages with different stock and chassis options including the two I listed so worth looking about as you can make a bit of a saving new if you get the package. Thanks, 24" barrel?

I’ve got a tikka t3x varmint In 22250. It’s great, will shoot most ammo under an inch, the factory stock was terrible and I put it in a grs stock. I only shoot vermin. But it transformed it. Mines a 20” barrel and is fine the 22250 could do with a couple of inches longer really but no problem. The 223 works down to about 13” I think, longer would be better for velocity. What do you think of Tikka T3X Tact A1 Rifle 20" barrel?

The tac a1 is nice but a bog std tikka and new stock of your choice would be cheaper and shoot no worse.
Go take a look and see how they handle.
