Then Sweden dropped the need of licens for moderators 2022 the price went up 20%, now you only need a firearm licens for a gun who fits the moderator to be legal. If you sell your rifle your moderator may be an illegal thing if you dont have a firearm threaded for it , same rule as for ammuniton.Well anyone with some machining experience could start making them and wouldn't need to be an RFD so maybe. Are most imported moderator's from countries with strict(er) controls than the UK? If so then the price of those probably won't fall.
If you can just post them freely then the price of secondhand units could go up as you've now got a wider market and no RFD costs, or prices could fall as people start selling more and and changing what they have as it's much easier to do so

Haha yeah tried that was told not possible and would need to pay the variation fee as a moderator was not considered a rifle

That’s what I told the very nice lady in the licensing dept.
