Selling a car a buyer sent me a picture of their passport back page not photo. I twigged it was a scam.
Ask for a photo of the front of their FAC might be better idea.
Please name and shame.

Just thought I’d share a scammer who’s advertised a chocolate working cocker called coco on uk gun dogs, to which I replied and sealed the deal to buy the dog, deposit paid. The dog was to be delivered by the owner on his way to Scotland on a stalking trip. He asked for a second deposit ( which I paid unfortunately) . No dog ever turned up, every excuse going has been used and is still being used. He won’t pay the deposits back but fair play to him he does message every morning to say it will be paid today 4weeks now and I’ve had enough of the lies so it’s court proceedings now, be...

A cop out, and they’ll pass it off as a scam, yet it’s fraud or obtaining money through deception… tell them he’d made a homophobic or offensive comment…They’ve prosecuted people for less on FB when the agenda suits.. It’s too difficult for them to spend time policing… You’d think they’d at least investigate, or write threatening action given they’ve got his driving licence and address / details. Or at least notify the owner of these documents if stolen

Police don’t care about small value scams neither will Action Fraud, you may be able to get your money back via your bank or credit/debit card provider.
