A Short Film - Worth a watch.....

Interesting film not knocking it at all. It just amazes me how many stalkers drag deer out by their back legs against the lie of the hair. Harder work and gathers mud well, adding weight to the drag and muck in the larder to clean off. I suppose they must have too much energy to spare.🤠

That's a very valid observation.
I hadn't noticed it in the film but yes, it amazes me too.

Not really.
It think it was just a clip to provide a backdrop to the bit about the fact the deer stalkers care deeply about deer and their welfare, and it's not all about killing.
Oh, I didn’t mean it was a problem, I just now want to know the back story!

I thought it as soon as I saw it, having done a long drag and trying both. Definitely makes a difference.

You may do, when you're older and Fallow get twice as heavy 😄. Rope through nose cartilage or noose round front legs and neck always worked for me or a Fallow sack , but now I have youngsters to do the graft for me.😉

More of a ballache getting them through/over/around stumps and bramble. I find dragging them back legs first much better as it holds them up higher and you have more control over the carcass as you are able to lift as well as drag
