My local RFD had this handed in recently by a gentleman giving up stalking. The rifle has never had a telescopic sight fitted, and still shoots just over an inch at 100m with iron sights, and will dust a Coke can at 150m. It's been barrel scoped and the internals are fine. It has the usual rotary magazine and is a Model 1908, with the obligatory 'butterknife' action, which is still silky smooth, and double set trigger. Unusually, it has an adjustable Monte Carlo cheekpiece/comb. In my old eyes, this is a beautiful rifle, and, personally I wouldn't even attempt to put a telescopic sight on it. It also comes with 100+ rounds of ammunition for the princely sum of £250. Apologies for the poor photos, but if there's interest, I can try and do a better job!

Looks like I was too slow on this one!

What's going on with the cheek piece? It looks like it was made adjustable for use with the scope that was previously fitted (yes, one was - the mounts are there!)

Also, an M1908 ought to be in 8x56 MSch - are you sure of the chambering?

Don’t have a space for that on my ticket, if I did I would give it a loving home in a heartbeat.

Somebody please buy it , its a thing of beauty.
