Your most ‘satisfying’ purchase this year?

Deartray Covers gralloching hoist.

It’s replaced a shaky Napier truck click that always gave me the sense it was going to buckle under the weight of a chunky fallow. It’s a straightforward and quick job to swing the carcass straight into a tray in the back of my wagon. A simple and excellent piece of engineering that protects my back and keeps the carcass uncontaminated. A game changer for me.

Wells stone cropper…… 🤔

Will be used to rebuild an extension in stone that’ll contain a utility room and larder room where given time, I’ll be able to process more of my own venison to sell on

My house in Devon, which enabled me to retire, make friends with local farmers down here and give me two new farms to shoot foxes on, plus join a new HO gun club in Cornwall with a decent range. I’m hoping deer will wander out at some stage, but can’t be greedy.
Until the deers wander out, just think of all the decent fishing you have down there, never far from the coast or some nice flowing water.
Lucky bugger :tiphat:

I'm hoping it's going to be this:
But having had some issues mounting a 30mm tubed scope on an old P-H rifle, I've yet to get it properly set up and zeroed.
Fingers crossed 🤞 problems are resolved now, and I'll find out how good it really is!
I've long been a fan of Leupold scopes, and coveted this model for some time before one finally came up for sale at I time when I could afford it.

just arrived in the post this evening
Just waiting for the magnets so it can be fixed inside my gun cabinet

Leupold scopes seem to be a bit over looked for sporting purposes yet they produce some nice neat & light models. I’ve got a VX-3HD 3.5-10x40 IR with the CDS turret on a rifle & it’s a fine scope. The CDS turret & illumination control being commendably neat.
