BDS North West Branch are pleased to announce there is a visit to and tour of Forestry Commission facilities at Grizedale Forest, Cumbria.

We will be shown the following from the perspective of the FC:


Woodland Management

All aspects of deer cull including how the cull is set, what numbers and why.

Tour of their excellent new larder facilities

This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the work of the Forestry Commission in Grizedale.
 
any requirements needed to attend? being a complete novive, would it be benefical for me to attend?

I would of liked to go as its right on my doorstep and I have stalking ground that borders grizedale could any one that goes keep me posted to how it was. And what was learned thanks Brian

Why not come along Brian and learn first hand?

Im sure anyone will benefit from the experience of some very knowledgeable people who work at Grizedale.
 
Very informative - good to see best practice in operation.

Fantastic facilities - larder etc.

Despite the weather's best attempt to spoil the tour round the deer control areas nothing could dampen the spirits of the hardy stalkers!
