I'm being ironic in some posts (just my sense of humour) 'cos I can't understand why folk would want to vote yes. In my opinion it would be ruinous,certainly in the short term.
Here's another one. If the vote is Yes then all that means is that Alex Salmond, aka wee eck around here , has a mandate to go and negotiate with the Really big boys..the EEC and the bank of England.
If,as I suspect,Scotland is not automatically transferred as a country into the EEC then it will have to negotiate entry. Since 1996 any country which applies to join must,within two years,accept the euro.
Salmond et all refuse to even contemplate this scenario. They are leading folk right up a rosy garden path.
Another part of re entry would entail,for example,negotiating our fish quota. I'm sure the Spanish would be rubbing their hands at that.
Eyes need to be opened here.
