Anytime mate, just give me a shout.I might just do that mate as I've just today sold my pard008S so I'm needing something to replace it.
Soooo - tempted by the current offers on the Zulus (and the auto record function) but not sure if I should go for the 3 or 5X version for my .222 - anyone with real world experience who can offer advice please? Also for the Remmy 700 is it the 0MOA S or 35 MOA L Rail?
Thanks chaps.

I have the 5x on my 17 Rem and it is so good. accurate, light and mutch better than I expected.I'm tempted too. Just wish it was 30mm body. Leaning more towards pard DS35-70 purely for that reason.
Wonder if they'll do it on the non Lrf? @Blackwood Outdoors ? That'd seal the deal for me..10% discount on the Zulus 5-20 LRF
You misunderstood me Bruce, I meant the x5 non Lrf. It'll be going on a 204 Ruger so no need for LrfAFAIK, there are no plans for a non LRF 3-12
The 3-12 is aimed primarily at airgunners and rimfire shooters where the LRF and ballistic calculator are at their most useful, so the market for a non LRF version would be quite small
So, get your money out of Fort Knox and ante up for a 3-12 with LRF
Cheers

Give Leeann a shout - very helpful lady.Wonder if they'll do it on the non Lrf? @Blackwood Outdoors ? That'd seal the deal for me..
OK, apologies for the errorYou misunderstood me Bruce, I meant the x5 non Lrf. It'll be going on a 204 Ruger so no need for Lrf
That would be very tempting...That brings it down to £414 which is an absolute steal for what you're getting
Or spend another £125 and get the LRF version - I just did! That would be very tempting...
I just don't need it mate. The NV I just sold bad ballistic calculator. Using it on my 204, zero at 100 and barely any alterations out to 300. I never bothered even pressing it eventually.Or spend another £125 and get the LRF version - I just did!

Agreed, on a 204 the LRF is a waste of moneyI just don't need it mate. The NV I just sold bad ballistic calculator. Using it on my 204, zero at 100 and barely any alterations out to 300. I never bothered even pressing it eventually.
Yep but think just how impressed “your friend” will be when you say with utter conviction and without fear of contradiction “that shot was 219 yards!”.Agreed, on a 204 the LRF is a waste of money
IMHO, the LRF doesn't give any significant advantage on pretty much every centrefire from 222 REM upwards
On rifles like that, the LRF and BC is definitely a "want" rather than a "need"

I've no friends so I'm definitely not going to bother now!!Yep but think just how impressed “your friend” will be when you say with utter conviction and without fear of contradiction “that shot was 219 yards!”.

Not sure I agree with that statement Bruce when you want to ensure a clean kill on a Lamb killer that has rumbled you and is heading for the hills, you know he will stop somewhere along the hedge before he goes through.Agreed, on a 204 the LRF is a waste of money

Ah yes perhaps I should have explained more, I was referring to the the LRF scan mode available on units like the Thermion LRF models or the Pard DS35.In situations like that, you generally don't have enough time to press the LRF button twice before taking the shot
