involuntary or forced would be a better description.
That's not true. There has been almost 4 years of consultation with members of BASC and by the other organisations with their members and that has included the numerous threads on this forum seeking feedback that 'DavidBASC' (now retired from BASC) and myself have interacted with.Indeed, imposed upon the membership without consultation?
I will update on the outcome and you can hold me to that.So what happens when the survey shows that the voluntary move away from lead is very involuntary and thus not happening?
You’re denying the ‘Transition’ was launched before consulting the membership? That's not true. Are you a member of any of the nine organisations encouraging a voluntary move away from lead shot for live quarry shooting? If so, which organisation are you a member of?You’re denying the ‘Transition’ was launched before consulting the membership?
Basc, first I heard about it was the joint press release! Are you a member of any of the nine organisations encouraging a voluntary move away from lead shot for live quarry shooting? If so, which organisation are you a member of?

Sorry Conor but the BASC response to the original HSE consultation came straight out of the blue as far as I am concerned. I don't recall the response being put before the membership for prior approval either. That's not true. At that time I was a member of BASC and didn't see anything about it. It wasn't voluntary until after they said it was... That's why I'm no longer a memberSorry Conor but the BASC response to the original HSE consultation came straight out of the blue as far as I am concerned. Some of us were members of BASC.Are you a member of any of the nine organisations encouraging a voluntary move away from lead shot for live quarry shooting? If so, which organisation are you a member of?
Again, it's not an opinion survey. It's part of an ongoing attitudes and behaviour tracking programme over a number of years. Without data you can't say wether or not self-regulation works so can't argue against compulsion.Completed the survey. Seems to me the cart is before the horse. Surely we should we have had the survey before BASC and the others jumped the gun and forced it all upon us ?
