Best/most accurate .22 rimfire?

I know I’ll get shot down for saying this, but my little Ruger 10/22 is really good for consistent accuracy-albeit you must feed it the right ammunition. I think I was just lucky and got one that shoots. Only cost me £200. Cracking little thing that goes like a sewing machine.

Interesting. I know they're renowned for reliability, not so much the accuracy out of the box ; though I know someone that had the heavy barrelled target model, and that did shoot well.
What sort of accuracy are you getting at certain distances?

Nice. I'd be curious to see a five shot group, however, the first shot is what counts each time.

Most rimfires are accurate enough for pest control.
There will be next to no difference between an Anshutz , Tika , CZ , Sake etc etc

You’d need to look at match rifles to see an increase in accuracy at distance.

I use a T1x. I bought it cause I wore down my CZ 452. They both shoot the same.

I had a 10/22 and it was a bit rubbish at distance and I had a WMR which was awesome but again not great at distance

I’d love a WMR that’s capable of good groups at 100 mtrs

I’ve got the specific Hawke scope that has the right drops on the reticle for .22 - that helps a lot. I haven’t used it on a range for a while but was getting consistent head shots on rabbits / birds out to 80m plus. I think I would limit it to 100m for any live quarry, but for that sort of use it’s well up to requirement. CCI Mini Mags run well in it but make a lot of noise. CCI subs also seem to run well. Eley are so / so and Winchester just will not group at all. Its seemingly all in the ammo with 10/22’s because I haven’t done much else with it from out of the box.

I have one! It's an HK300 22WMR. it shoots sub 3/4" groups at 100 yards with a Schmidt 4x36 scope fitted. It's my main foxing rifle.

Evening all,

So what's the best .22 or most accurate. 22 rimfire bolt action rifle that you can buy? Money's no obligation. Mainly going to be used for lamping/NV work on rabbits with some pigeon/crows through the day. I've currently got a anshutz 14 something but it's getting old and needs a dew repairs... what would you replace it with or would you buy again? Also what ammo would you pair with it?

I bought my BRNO .22 rimfire in 1965 and if I remember correctly paid the princely sum of £32 for it.After many years of use I sold it to a family member sometime in the 80’s and bought it back about 5 years ago since when it has had little use.Originally it was fitted with 4x32 Nikko Sterling(very little choice then).I recently decided to give it an upgrade in the scope department and bought a Niko Monarch from a gentleman off this site.Today I zeroed it with some American Eagle high velocity ammo(came with it on buy back and I think made by Federal so not premium ammo by any stretch of the imagination)The picture appended below is a ten round group at 60 yards.Pretty happy with that from a 66 year old rifle!

Very impressive. I'd consider scrubbing the barrel, and especially the chamber area with carbon remover, if you haven't already.

I recently replaced my cz 452 with a cz 457 synthetic with heavy barrel and absolutely love it, Bang for buck I just don't think you can beat them. It feels great and works!
