Brexit is not over. We are not 100% committed to leave which is why debate like this is raging across forums in all walks of life
It was a referendum not an election. Under Article 50 we can reverse it, under EU law the Brexit winning margin was inadequate to force a decision But we won't be in the EU so that doesn't matter.
people deserve the right to see the actual deal we will be left with and vote on fact and not the rhetoric and blatent untruths of the previous reforendum.
People who think it will be painless are living in a fantasy land. We cant negotatiate external trade deals till we are out and trade deals take 5-10 years and another 5-10 for the effects to be felt. So even if we were to secure some amazing trade deal we would be looking at decades of WTO and the pain that will come with this. It takes the EU 5 or 10 years, a trade deal could be done in twenty minutes face to face. The following paperwork could be done in no time.
We will lose our current level of benefit from the service sector, this will have to be made up for in austarety measures and taxation. Factories will move to the EU or demand subsadies from us which will further increase the tax burden. Jobs will be lost. The people of the UK are looking at inflation, increased taxation, loss of welfair and reduced conditions. This is pure fantasy, you must sit down and dream of worst case scenario's. You have no possible indication any of this will happen, so far it's just the opposite.
Pretending this is not the price we will pay is totally without supporting argument. The leaders of industry like Dyson who support Brexit, have much to gain for their buisneses who manufacture outside the EU and import under WTO rules. Their profits will sore post brexit and we will have no benefit from this. So the retailers who sell these, and the service sector who repair them won't gain any benefit from increased sales due to the firm being profitable? I suppose we gain nothing from JLR being profitable either, non of the jobs they create are of any benefit?
People like me will keep plugging away to try and get the truth out there and change hearts and minds. Giving in to Brexit would be as unthinkable to me as giving in to the ideals of a bigoted masoganist like Trump just because he was elected No, people like you will keep whining because you don't fit in with the majority, and you don't like it. .
