Good morning all I’m looking for a good butchers saw, must be stainless steel don’t want a cheap thing off eBay something that’s going to last, don’t mind paying for good quality what’s everyone using ???
This will go against what you want, but…. It was a tip given to be by a chef. Go to your local hardware store, buy a wood saw, cost me £7, use it for a year and throw it away if it gets blunt.

You do have to clean out between the teeth, I just ensure that I dab with blue towel after and not gone rusty yet.
This is a new thing to me, just 6 months in.

A beautiful 17.5" American Style Butcher's saw for cutting through carcasses and meat joints with ease. Made with a Sweedish Stainless steel frame, this saw is ultra strong and comes with a kamlock style lever making it easy to switch blades.
I posted this on another thread recently but I’ve switched to a makita reciprocating saw. The blades switch out so it’s easy to clean, you can use different blades for different application (finer blades for jointing, coarser for splitting carcasses in half etc.) and it takes no time or effort at all. I’ve sold all my hand saws and am considering selling my bandsaw as I just don’t use it as much nowadays. I’m fairly certain makita do a smaller version that the 18v I’ve got which I’m sure would work and be even handier but I already had the batteries to make this one work.
