Spoke with JAYB about this a while back, and the SD site are very pleased and happy to support such an event. And I look forward to being able to make it up there.
One thought perhaps you can put up a list of local BB's particularly ones that take dogs!
Great idea and a keen entry price will surely see this be a succesful event.

I have already spoken to a large hotel owner nearby in the hope they will offer a good price for traders at the fair for 2 or 3 nights stay. They allow up to 2 dogs per room as they cater for a lot of guests who are shooting and fishing. Waiting now for a reply, but I will put up details of good B&B's, hotels in the area as well. They should be keen to encourage trade as March is a relatively quiet time here for them, few tourists, shooting has finished and the salmon fishing has not quite reached its best spring weeks.
I will keep folk updated...

Sounds a great idea mate as all the 'game' fairs seem to have more angling and craft stuff than shooting/stalking so it should be a winner if you can get the trade to attend.

There wont even be a burger van is sight!
The kitchen facilities within the venue will be run by someone I know who does outside catering for a living. As this is a stalking event venison burgers, sausages etc must be available as well as the obligatory chips for our friends from the West.
Plus the other usual you would expect at a fair, breakfast rolls etc. We will try and source them locally though...
Prices will be good as there won't be any competition agreeing on price matching to a captive audience!!!

there are quite a few stalkers in my area and if there is a good local b&b (cheap enough for yorkshiremen ) to stop overnight maybe we could share a motor if anyone is interested ? DF

Lots of good B&B's and small hotels in the area Bob. As the months go on I will be approaching some of them to see if I can get any discount if I put their details up on the Deerstalking Fair's website. Hopefully enough of an incentive to coax even a Yorkshireman...
