I have no idea who they are or where it took place

intresting comments tho

to quote your own words

i made my way up the banking where 2 guys were standing , i ask what the hell they were playing at , his reply was i should be watching where i was going , to which i replied that he shouldnt be on the ground with a firearm and i was going to call the police

as i said a lot can depended on how you ask and how do you know they did not have permission to be be there ? they could have been out with permission and along you come shouting about phoning the police and acting aggressively.
Nothing snide about my comments. just my take from your post
i agree they should look out for people before they fire so read into my comments however you like

i have sole permission there. me and no one else. indeed if someone asks for permission the landowner gives them my number. THATS how i know they wernt ment to be there. you seem to be very eager to take the side of these guys. why is that ?

That's so true Davie...

You wouldn't believe the cheek I've had off guys who were on my land doing stuff they'd no right doing. I'm not talking about them being on my "permission" here either (whatever that is) I'm talking about people on land which I own freehold and without debt and they are doing things like running dogs or stealing my growing crop.

I've even been told to eff off and mind my own effing business too...:roll: Luckily they've never been armed, that I was aware of and usually I manage to work the conversation round to where they agree they're maybe not being quite fair in their viewpoint.

How you approach/address people can make a big difference and I, for one, dont think you are being unreasonable in saying so.

But, I'm still sorry to read about another unfortunate incident in your life Scots-Stalker... you do seem to have some very bad luck.

One of my best friends had a shot fired over his head when he was out stalking! scared the bejesus out of him! we think thay were local poachers telling us the had laid claim to the area, Climpy Hill, on the link road.
Dave gave up he could not come to terms with it at all, although i must admit it totaly changed my aptitude when i went out up there, occasionaly it would pop into my thoughts and spiol the days stalking!

Hope you can come to terms wlth it! you did nothing wrong so you have nothing to feel humiliated about! Angry yes! Shaken yes!
I hope you continue with the life style that is a reflection of you!
