FAC air vs 12ft/lb?

I have an M3 .25 doing 90 ftlbs for foxes around my horse paddocks that’s what’s on my ticket ( we have chickens and ducks there ) , as said AOLQ covers it .
And trust me it certainly puts them on the arse , never had a runners that’s for sure .

I found it hard to beat the old Theoben, who have been taken over by Elite Optics I think.
The .22 Rapid 7 and the .177 Rapid 12 from memory...very accurate with match grade barrels from Anshutz and Lothar Walther....?

I have told you time after time why FAC air is more versatile, will be more accurate & safer to use . Why do you think the police forces throughout the country prefer you to have FAC air or HMR over .22lr for field use
Equal energy is equal risk ! If its a release of high pressure air or high pressure gasses from a cartridge .
This weekend i was shooting 40 grain quiets in 22 LR they are around 700 fps , you can get others with various different bullet weights and charges behind them. there where clay / lead mix .22lr bullets for fairgrounds only a relitively short time ago Lancashire based RFDs made good money supplying the likes of Blackpool fun fair
Its got absolutely no relevance if you have an equal weight and equal speed - the two are the same .

So a 22lr zipping straight through an animal is just as safe as a projectile that expands and dumps all its energy.

There are lots of different .22 rf ammo options with different bullet weights and energy levels even in the LR catagory . if you go into shorts the power levels can be almost unusable , they even do a kind of shotgun shell for the 22 rf . used to be a clay&Lead powder 22lr ammo going back into the 80s 90s To use on Fairgrounds , Lancashire RFDs made a fair bit of money supplying the Blackpool entertainment park market.
Thing is those without the experience and understanding have always been very vocal when it comes to the RF ( a goodly amount of them haven't ever owned one though )

That maybe but can your RFD get them ?
Willing to get them ?
Many aren’t for a small order

Fac slugs for air rifle thru the post etc often easier

well the fairground mix ended years ago . Getting 22RF ammo is super easy but you do need the FAC . I dont know about how far many are from an RFD but i have five different within say 40 minutes drive. nearest 15-20 mins
