guns siezed

It would be good to have an update from the original poster (kaduflyer) and hope that he has some progress and more positive news. The thread became somewhat distracted, so heres wishing kaduflyer a positve outcome to his problem.

What bickering - how sad.

Two substantive posts and both moaning :suss: ? Are you sure you're on the right site ? People have opinions on here mate, infact we even have opinionated people on here, but people who just moan - whats the point ......................................

Hmm this thread is beggining to become a bit of a mud slinging act. Guys can we just cool it a bit, I am not picking sides but in most cases the police do a good job, although as with everyone in life they do get it wrong sometimes. However with Kent police I have nothing but praise for the FA unit.

Same can be said in my opinion for Sussex - approachable and understanding

ok update the firearms licensing office has an appointment with acc of cunbria this week so i await the outcome i was a bit ****ed off that since this all happened cumbria police have never asked me about the situation its taken firearms licensing to tell me to hand them a letter explaining then they have all the facts well done to them ! will update soon or ill just sell the lot

Hope it gets sorted mate 1 question from me though if the guns have been siezed can you still sell them? I thought I read somewhere that they get destroyed, which I hope I have got wrong because it would just be a waste and another kick in the teeth!

no they dont get destroyed if they hold your license for a while you can sell them thou its through an rfd or you can appeal at crown court against seizure

Apologies - I never realised that substantive was a pre-requisite for having an opinion. On the right site? - apologies again, however, I have never been one that agrees to subscribe to elitism. Mate?? a little presumptuous I think. Opinionated - mmm - persons of certain profession, or is it ex, usually do fit into that category.

Just a thought - there are enough of those out there who are pre disposed to making life as difficult as is possible for persons involved in our type of sport and recreation. I have yet to see the scorer of an own goal demonstrate a need to celebrate.
May your aim be true and your attitude towards others soften.

To misquote, "Presumptuous moi ?

(Note to self. Must buy :-

Debrett's Etiquette - to learn how to address fellow stalkers
Venison cook book - to learn how to make and eat umble pie
Guide to psychology - to assist fellow stalker ( nb NOT mate ) get a sense of humour )
Mudslinging and generalisations about people in certain professions - talk about own goals . Say what you like about me, i seem to have a much thicker skin than you, but don't judge my fellow (ex) colleagues. Chip on your shoulder possibly :suss:

To quote you

What bickering - how sad.

But i'd rather quote Cindy Lauper - "True Colours" - and i'll bet she's better looking too

I agree entirely. And that would appear exactly what Brithunter has done. He did himself no favours continually posting outrageous comments about the Police, FEO's etc - perhaps if you'd read a little more of his posts before jumping in with both feet you might have seen some of his previous posts and why I felt obligated to reply.

Lighten up a little and you might enjoy SD more - and i sincerely hope you do enjoy it

All the best

if i were you i would join an organisation such as the ngo and ask thier advice i would never ever give my money to basc again as when i had an issue they did nothing for me ( i should add that the issue was resolved without me losing my firearms but no thanks to basc) and im not the first to recieve this pathetic kind of service by them.

Actually he has a valid point. Minimal posts, minimal interaction and straight in with the big opinions on contraversial threads is often inidicative of ill-intent and lights up admin radar like a glowy dotted green thing.

Note 1: Often, not always
Note 2: We aren't elitist here, all are welcome. The only stipulation is that you are civil and not a troublemaker.

Perhaps get to know members before dishing out the judgements.

I know that it probably wasn't meant that way, but the time to join these organisations is before you have a problem not when you already have a problem. Personally I get quite annoyed by some people who don't belong to any shooting organisation, are quite happy for me and the other members to fund the organisation, and then want to join only when they have a problem and they want someone else to fight their corner. You know the sort of people I'm talking about they break down on the motorway and then phone up and want to join the AA or RAC. There are more than a few of these people around.
