Ok maybe i should clarify, im looking for stalking up to 70 miles away from Lowestoft, i fish and shoot my shotgun on lakes and ground near Thetford and have people that can help me out with travel and transportation of any deer carcass should i need it, i would not ask or expect them to take me or bring back a deer from bedford which is about 200 miles in the wrong direction to where i live, on my OP i did state that i contacted companies around the Norfolk Suffolk border, this was for good reason as it is near where i live, is where i can sensibly travel to on the mode of transport that i have and where i can get help from people i know should i need it should i have a good day stalking, i know who to contact now so dont need to bother anyone further, thank you to everyone for their suggestions and help with names and numbers, its much appreciated, you really came through for me

What I mean is it seems odd that you come on saying you’d like stalking but no one is coming back to you, Malcolm then says he can fit you in, you then come up with a reason not to go.

If you are going in December the it will be cool enough to transport a quartered animal back in a ruck sack.

bringing back a deer on a train really? not to mention the cost, which as someone on a crap wage is im afraid important, the companies i mentioned were companies that are up near where i live, i appreciate what malcolm helped me with but the practicalities of it is that it is not sensible for me and when he contacted me until the end of the call i didnt know where it was, and as ive explained to him i got caught up in the romance of getting a stalk arranged, my heart ruled over my head until id given it some thought, and december is not known for brilliant biking weather, its known for unpredictable rain, sleet and possibly snow, and i cannot roll the windows up and switch the heater on because bikes dont have that luxury

Okay. I believe @Pine Marten has done it on public transport.

If you shoot a Munty or CWD, or even a yearling roe doe they would fit into a decent ruck sack quite easily, double bagged, in rubble sacks to keep everything clean you could get one home easily on public transport without anyone having a clue.

Hopefully you find something a bit more local or someone can treat you to the fare as a Christmas / birthday gift some time .
 
The OP should not be discouraged. From 14 onwards I used to travel to the coast for fowling by train with a mate (two changes) complete with slipped gun and thigh boots. We were a bit muddy on the return journey.
As for scooters, I and my future wife travelled to Italy on a camping trip, using 150cc Lambrettas.
Later I used to go fowling on the Wash carrying all the necessary kit for a stay over, on a Velocette 500cc Clubman, clip-ons and all.
I don't wish to sound like a bragging old git, just to show that these things are possible if you want it badly enough.

You wouldn't be the first member of this site to transport a deer carcass by train. It's not a big deal, really.

yes mate, very much in Lowestoft, funny enough it was near blythburgh where i used to goose hunt, wont have been your mates ground ofcourse. il try find elliot and see what he has to offer, is he a member on here? thank you for the message
