I love my K95 in 7 x 57R. Mine is a stutzen, which prevents a mod being used, but it's fine. Break action rifle MUST have a rimmed cartridge

I don't know what stocks they're offering at the moment, I have the hog back, but would definitely go with a straight combe, because the HB is too low to use with a scope, and I have to use a raiser pad.

Whatever you choose, I'm sure you'll love it.

I have a Haenel Jaeger 9 in 308 with removable scope mounts etc. which I understand is essentially a K3.

A lovely gun to handle, very light and accurate, but being so light and due to the stock shape the recoil is significantly more than my T3x in the same calibre (have been given a sore eyebrow more than once!). Have no issues getting a 308 cartridge in and out of it, but would be slightly easier with a rimmed case.

Got it secondhand for around 1k all in but never really get round to taking it out over my T3x.....

I have the K95, 7x57R, and a Chapuis SxS in 9.3x74R, and the tongue in cheek comment, was based on break action rifles traditionally using a rimmed cartridge, and I kie tradition. That's all.

A rimmed cartridge in a K95 is easier to eject a spent case though admittedly I never thought of that when I ordered my K95. Mine is 25-06Rem and I use it as my go to rifle.
So, ejecting a spent case is using your finger to extract the case. It's slower, but not by much & I've still taken hind & calf without much bother.
As for my K95 Luxus, it's a delight to use & it's with me for the whole of my life.

I have a k95 std in 243 and I can only say that if I had to have only one gun this would be it as regards a rimmed round the 243 has never failed me and I find a quick reload quiet easy if needed your welcome to come and have a shot in Cumbria i triad a 308 before I bought mine thought it was a bit whippy that’s why I went for the calibre I’ve got great for all uk and the great thing is you can get other barrels in different calibres the authorities are more happy about that than extra guns on your ticket wish I had the money to have gone for the barronesse good luck with your choice
