Of the three cartridges you mention, two are unlikely to see the inside of my cabinet again.OK, so maybt 2. A .22 or 17hmr for bunnies and .270 for everthing else.
Still, thanks for the advice. I'll ignore it, of course.

Does it make them any more deadI would have thought that a .270 is a bit OTT for fox
Can you please provide a link for this torch as I have a 008 and I'm impressed with your posted video?Just a 50 quid Excaliber![]()
Totally agree. Had mine a few days and have tried it at most times of the day and night and it's superb. I was really happy with my pard 008 but this is in a different league. Most of the photos/videos don't do it justice.I was out with mine last night , and been totally honest I found it superb,
I didn’t bother with the ir it came with , I went straight for the dark engine and after a 2 shot zero , I had a play . In day light it’s really good and I found the picture better than the part 008 , FOV better , a crisp sharp image , and able to see hairs at 500 yards ,
now turn to dust mode and it’s a different level , I don’t know how but it turns the picture back to day light and is really really good
after dark and in black / white , with the dark engine on top the sight picture is in my eyes is about as good as it gets , crisp clear and again a picture perfect for me anyway , am I glad I invested yes , will I be selling the pard 008lrf yes , I’m even considering Selling the thermion xq50 , hear Is last night’s efforts one took at 170 yards second 195 View attachment 237174

That looks better than my Wraith 4k max can do with a Sirius torch. Have you got the C50 mounted with the same eye relief as a conventional 'scop, or sat further back?Take a look at N8 Vision page on Facebook Lee Poland makes them.
Smaller, lighter and less powerful than the bigger double lens jobbies but more than enough punch for the 008.

Good choiceWell my C50 will be here soon and for what I want to use it for (foxes and rabbits at no more than 100m with a .22wmr) it looks as though it’ll be perfect for the job. I’ll be totally honest I never shoot any further than that in the dark as most of my foxes are shot on the urban fringe where even with a moddy the suburbanites get nervous. I’ve seen and heard many a ricochet from the midnight cowboys to give me insomnia for a week and just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not there. As the old saying goes ‘If it hits a gable end no one will know …. but if it goes through a window the whole world will know !’ Give it some thought folks …..

There are two choices, buy a c50 without the pulsar ir (but you’ll need to use your own), or buy a c50 with the pulsar ir.So can you have c50 with out a IR ?
