Recommend me a lightweight moderator

I have owned and tried out the following mods on my 308

1 t8 very good sound reduction but heavy

2 ase northstar equally good sound reduction will last forever again heavy

3 atec cmm4 not just as good sound reduction as the above mentioned but really light

but I have just placed an order for one of these A-TEC MAXIM

when you watch the video the you will notice a tec maxim reduces the blast nearly as well as the 2 monster mods tried after while being less than half the size.....looking forward to trying it out http://www.a-tec.no/A-TEC_maxim.pdf

Still to get the thread cutting done on the new rifle so getting it the same as the .308 so one mod fits them both.

Edited to add; yes that is the tight Jock coming out!!

I wish I'd known about the Maxim when I ordered my CMM4:doh:

Why Harry ? is it because you put a lot of rounds on the range or you prefer the over barrel type ? i ordered one for my varmint barreled .243 that i put a fair few rounds through '
After using a cmm4 on the .308 for a while i cancelled the maxim and shoved a cmm4 on the .243, its had qute a lot of rounds through it and i cant see any evidence of burned baffles yet.
Plus it is quite a bit lighter and less bulky than the maxim you just dont know its there, my barrels are cut to 20" so they feel like a 26" rifle.
I dont think yoi will be dissapointed with the one you chose . atb df

just picked ip my .243 on sat, its been fitted with a DM80, I was told it was impressive, just went on RFD's advice.
To say I am chuffed is a serious understatement, hardly notice it on there.
Hopefully be out tonight to christen it, weather permitting.
Nick.
