I honestly think it can vary across even as small an area as a farm depending on what each individual doe is doing. Appreciate there’s maybe busier weeks but I don’t think it’s as black and white as has or hasn’t started

Definitely kicking off in the borders, but not on the hot sunny evenings. Wait for the rain, mist, damp, humid or cloudy. Even a mid to late morning in the right conditions is better than the usual 4AM and 10PM

Had a run out yesterday evening and nothing doing although plenty out.
This morning out of 9 bucks only one rutting including a ring around a wee tree and god knows how they don't get dizzy.

Nothing seen yet in North Glos but the mature bucks are lying low. Only the youngsters about but easy to thin.

She running around small tree/ bush he mirroring her every move ! She stopped he tapped her with his front right leg & off she went still no ready for him

Called a couple of weeks ago guys that were chasing a doe but rut a couple weeks away I would say

Don’t worry about Buck territories, if you know where your Does are a Buck won’t be far away. We all know it’s the females that control everything!

That all depends on what buck you want to shoot, if your specifically after a particular buck you have to be in its territory!

Your stance is perfect if your happy to shoot a scruffy youngster, but If you want to shoot that buck you’ve been after all season, you need to be in the right place, if your not your ****ing in the wind.

If you have seen a certain Buck all year in a certain place don’t be surprised come the rut he’s not there, he’s off chasing Does.

All the time, but personally if I see a buck I want to shoot, I want to shoot that buck, I don’t crave to whack and stack like I used to.
