Selling boar meat for money!

well, I for one think this is a fantastic scheme. Don’t listen to the nay sayers. Just get yourself an old white transit van with a tow hitch and a small caravan that you can sleep in when you aren’t busy poaching I mean hunting. You can also use the caravan as a mobile butcher shop and sell the meat direct to your customers! Don’t worry about getting a FAC, just get some large dogs and a pointy stick or a knife. Jobbo done.

Not sure I see a problem with this, if you have the legal right to shoot them (FAC for this reason) and land in which you have permission to do so then providing it isn't wiping them out ( which is some people's mandates for their deer permission let alone boar) then why not make use of the natural resource, similar to trappers back in the day

While the OP way of wording it may sound disrespectful to the quarry, this could just be lost in the fact its a written post

Paid stalking for others is about the best thing you can do at the moment, that's if you've the ground and shooting rights!

I can see this thread being closed shortly

But if I may............... The OP seems to think that making money out of hunting Boar is a simple step.
First your comment does not sit well with many, in that it appears to me as if you are just looking at Boar, and possibly deer stalking as a cash cow.
Its not going to happen!!

Secondly, just getting a rifle to undertake such an activity is not going to be as straight forward as you may think.
Without any prior experience and knowledge of what it takes to hunt Wild Boar. You will be waiting a while for an FAC or permission to add to what you already have.

Thirdly. Any Wild Boar you take will need to be processed. Therefore you will need Level 1 and 2 DMQ to sell or offer for sale any carcasses into the food chain via a game dealer, or from your self. Fine if you want to consume yourself or family.

Fourth. You will need a registered premises to chill and prepare any carcasses, and it will need a food licence.

Fifth. Your van will also need to fitted out to transport and sell carcasses, and be a chilled vehicle.

Sixth. You will need to make sure that EVERY WILD BOAR CARCASS is checked for Tricenella. This is vital, as if the pig is carrying you could potentially kill someone.

In my opinion you are trying to run before you have even learned to walk. I would take a serious look at what you are maybe thinking of undertaking.

I originally thought this was a wind up but then reminded myself that there are actually guys round here who actually think like this. @sikamalc has covered most of the salient points although one other very important point is that the OP seems to think that the miles of woodland adjoining his farmer friend's property is open access. If the farmer owns it then that's ok although it is far more likely that it is Forestry England property and that makes any pig hunting trips on that land poaching and armed trespass. If this is a genuine post (I am still sceptical) then I fear that @zinderfod is dangerously deluded.
