stalking boots

Massive fan of the Harkila GTX Mountain 10" boots, very comfortable even before "broken in" and I paid just over £100 as they were in the sale :)

Mine have been through bogs, sodden ploughed fields, slurry and still waterproof and no failings on the boot so very very happy, bear in mind there are 2 types one with thermal lining and the other without, I have the non thermal one and even in the cold winter we had this and last year my feet were lovely and toasty with the right socks so unless you are doing so mid winter Scandinavia/ Eastern Europe then don't worry.

Just got a pair of alt berg gamekeepers ! Really pleased , fantastic quality and good prices .

also scarpa boots are awesome quality , hard *******s to wear in .

Quite literally just put my new Harkila pro hunter GTX 10" Kevlar boots on! Much nicer than my last pair. My last pair of Harkilas fell apart and I wasn't very happy so I spoke to them at the CLA they told me to pop them in the post to them to take a look at, we'll on receipt of them they rang me up and said they'll send me a new pair out directly and well here they are. Can't say fairer than that...

you lucky so and so...... I sent a pair of neo chameau wellies back because they split at the bottom of the zip and they told me I hadnt put enough spray on them so tough.......

Best Regards WB

Crispi boots for me, went over to them when the le-chameau started going down hill. (Previously were great a boot)

Having just left the Royal Marines and tried out many different boots, in my opinion Hanwags were a first with Lowa at a VERY close second. I had the Hanwag GTX boots, brilliant.
I see there is mention of Altburgs on here, again very good boots. If you have time to wait, you can be measured up in the factory and have them taylor made. All these boots are great for stalking needs. Added to the mix is the Berghous YETI gaiters. These things are a must for any terrain. No other gaiter compares. Under these it doesn't matter what boot you have on aslong as their comfy.

I bought a pair of expensive Berghaus boots and the matching pair of thermal waiters . ..Utter rubbish the rubber rand split within weeks and the lacing eyelet popped out of the boots ..now using Altberg, they are in a different league.

What hanwag boots have you bought? I am looking at their special forces boot
Thanks

I think they are the Alaska model. The guy in the shop did mention that these were the ones issued to some RM lads. When I bought them I had all the big name boots out, to be honest, I could have happily walked out with lowas or meindles.
