Stalking load out - what do you carry?

What do you carry in your bag/on your person when you’re out hunting?

Here’s what I take out with me every time:
• Ear Defence
• Head torch - especially during last light stalks.
• Spare battery’s (these are both for my head torch and my scope)
• Cylumes - useful for marking things out at night like blood during a last light shot.
• Blaze orange arm band - legal requirement in many places (especially for driven shooting)
• Trigger lock - legal requirement in some countries when transporting a firearm but I just do it to be extra safe.
• Show clear flag - always keep it in my rifle when I’m not using it.
• Buttlo roe call and ACME fox call
• Ammunition and belt holder
• Caliber specific pull through and cleaning kit - useful for clearing any blockages in your barrel
• Large game drag - makes life a lot easier when it comes to the extraction
• Documentation - hunting license, insurance, etc.
• Lens cleaning kit - especially in wet or dusty conditions
• Range finder
• 8.5x50 Delta forest II Binoculars
• Gralloching knifes
• General purpose knife
• Quad sticks
• Obviously- rifle

Some of that stuff I guess, but something to snack on too. Pepperami, maybe an apple. Plus my thermal

I use a Napier Apex belt pack. In it goes: compass, drag rope, latex gloves, plastic freezer bags for liver, range finder, spare knife and diamond hone, litre bottle of water, magnesium firestarter, extra rounds, copy of FAC, and permission maps, vac-packed biodegradable wipes (NOT Wonderwipes, only made that mistake the once), and a Mars Bar

I’d say the Mars Bar is the most important bit of kit there ... although personally I’d go for snickers

I would probably reduce the 3 knives into one by using an EKA Swingblade instead. Also not sure I could be bothered to carry 20 rounds of rattling ammo normally a mag of 5 plus two spares in my sling is more than enough.

In the UK the breach flag and trigger lock can live in the car and the orange arm band isn’t really needed.

Deer drag for me is an old orange climbing sling that is small enough to stuff in a back trouser pocket but strong enough to hang a small car from.

RF Binos are a great but expensive thing to have.

A clean sliced loaf wrapper/bag contains offal and can be pulled out through entry hole to seal against ingress of dirt etc.

Rifle, ammo 5 rounds, wind checker, knife and gut hook, stalkers mate (hoist) if going for big deer, binoculars & thermal if needed, quad sticks. All small stuff carried in a Napier bumbag that has a few extra bits in it like some paracord, plasters and some loo roll vac packed to keep it small & dry.
