Transylvania, ever hunt it?

I just saw a youtube video on Transylvania, looks like there should be some game there. Love the food from that region, I can make a pretty darned good Transylvania Layered Cabbage, if I do say so myself. It seemed to me that roe deer would do well there, boar too.

I’m born and rised in Transilvanya , plenty of roe deer but the area is best known for it’s chamois, red deer, bear and boar population.
World record chamois shot there back in 1934, 141,10 CIC, and half of the European brown bear population lives in Romania, most of them in Transylvania.
As per the food... best in the world!

would love a trip out there, once upon a time offered the best value hunting around for bear and boar , but some kind of change to law affected the bear hunting, some of the hunts I looked at no longer exist!!

I concur and his evil wife, Nancy Pelosi. I actually though he may have been reincarnated as Chuckie Schumer and of course the black moozlum prince of darkness, Obummer. If Trump didn't do a damn thing during his presidency, he at least kept Killary Klinton from winning and selling the USA to Russians like she did with 20% of our Uranium reserves.

Beautiful country in Transylvania and the Chamois are beautiful animals. Never knew they had such a Brown bear population there and elsewhere in Western Europe. Figured they may have gotten annihilated during WWII.

I was there in October last year hunting near Brasov, stunning scenery I took a very nice chamois and an incredible stag on the top of a mountain in full roar. I went with a thoroughly reputable outfitter who works hand in hand with the government, in 550 heactares the quota is only 16 chamois and 12 stags.
