What a great number of sporting shooters cannot get to grips with is, ALL shooting & allied stuff matters, not just my or your little interests.I disagree, game shooting is more important in many ways.

Probably the crassest letter written in the history of shooting organisations and by none other than BASC's Vice President. Unbelievable. This image was posted on Pigeon Watch. I had to smile at the last sentence. Given, of course, the recent BASC musings on lead shot. Maybe someone else wants to cut and paste the picture below and start a thread on it elsewhere on SD?

True colours will always show through! Only in the early days did they truly represent the shooting fraternity, not now..Probably the crassest letter written in the history of shooting organisations and by none other than BASC's Vice President. Unbelievable.
3. No prior consultation with the membership to achieve a consensus of views. If only the BASC management had learned the lesson from the Lead Shot debacle, it is all very disappointing. There are two elements to the current situation.
1) Is the cover viable, or uneconomical ?
2) If it's not viable, are the members who have paid for the cover, and still have cover remaining, entitled to a refund, OR, entitled to cancel the policy, and get a refund proportional to the outstanding cover, on the basis, that the policy is no longer fit for the purpose it was bought ?
So you’ll be changing ?3. No prior consultation with the membership to achieve a consensus of views. If only the BASC management had learned the lesson from the Lead Shot debacle, it is all very disappointing.

Thats a very good question. My renewal is due very shortly, but there have been some positives that I've experienced from BASC, such as the new vehicle discount and they intervened successfully on a deer management issue with the Deer Initiative before it folded. I shall probably await the result of the BASC Council elections before deciding. So you’ll be changing ?
And this is why they will never learn , no matter how many betrayals for some bizzare reason some people will still hand over cash to them , out of interest if you were as dissatisfied with service in any other actor would you keep giving them you’re money ?Thats a very good question. I have contacted the nra in the us and they will accept members from the uk.
Have asked if they would consider setting up here in the uk and awaiting reply.
You can negotiate the same discount without basc membership at most dealers. The discount applies to list price and nobody expects to pay full list price.A vehicle discount .... shows how important the future is.
If it was as simple as that I'd agree, but the other matter that I mentioned was of greater significance. An
