Scot Independence poll - would you leave?

If you reside in Scotland, and Independence prevailed, would you leave to England/Elsewhere?

Why is it always the assumption that people receiving benefits at that point in time "have sat on their backsides scrounging and living on welfare"? It's a pathetic attitude and anecdotal pish.
That's not what I said, are you simply stirring sh!the for the sake of stirring sh!the?

Its the same in wales regarding care homes.
If you save for old age it then gets taken while the scrounger gets hand outs all their lives.
Wales and scotland have their fair share of scroungers.
Makes me spew!!

It is free unless oyu have quite a bit of money stashed away for a rainy day...being unable to care for yourself falls into the 'rainy day' description.

OK. So are you now going to accept your earlier post were incorrect?
As a reminder, here are your posts from earlier.

doesn't happen in Scotland, care is universal and you don't need to pay - unless you opt to go private.

I'm not wrong. You're lying to prove a point. Desperate. It's well documented that social care and carehomes are free in Scotland, but not in England

This site is well know for the ability of its members to debate differences is a civilised way. Part of which includes admitting when one is wrong.

It also has a fabulous "ignore" feature.

I quite enjoy a debate with civilised people but tend to ignore those who are too angry inside to hold a proper debate.

I see that you joined only SD about 3 months ago - is your approach to this forum designed to create as many responses as possible so that you can reply and accumulate sufficient posts to advertise something in the Classified section?
If not, why are you so obviously antagonistic and rude? - honest debate does not require the approach you undertake and, when statements you make are corrected by evidence, why not admit your errors and apologize?

If I wanted to sell anything I;d just do it on ebay. You tories are very suspicious in general, arent you? ;)
Just because someone diesn;t agree with your principles of greed and obnoxiousness, doesn't make them rude. Grow up.

Not really, many hard working people have assets they have scrimped saved for to support them in retirement, all while paying taxes. Are you suggesting these people should have sat on their backsides and lived of welfare?
Isn't that precisely why Scotland is in so much debt?

Why have you been paying taxes all your life if not to cover the cost of your old age? If the Scottish government has frittered all their tax payer's revenue away on corruption and rubbish like gender awareness, Scotland needs another government, not higher taxes.
Why bother to work and pay taxes all your life if everything you've managed to save will be taken from you the moment you fall sick of grow old? You may as well live off benefits all your life, which is exactly what has happened in too many cases.
And if you don't want to sit on your backside relying on other people to feed you, why would you stay in a country that punishes hard work? You'd be better off leaving and taking your taxable income with you and let the country go bankrupt. And that is happening too.
