Any IPad users out there having issues on this site?

Just wondering if its a problem with my machine or not, but whenever I try and respond to a thread, the keypad appears, but then disappears after every character I type for the first word or two, kinda gets irritating and wondered if there was anything I can do? It doesn't happen on any other websites, just on here..........
anyone got any ideas?

Fine with my iPad ....I mean the wife's .i was banned from her mac and find the iPad good no issues asked her as she is techy and she don't know either .

Hmm, just me then.....thanks Norma, I'll see if anyone else experiences it.....seems worse if I use the keypad in the landscape screen, not so bad if portrait.

I had that problem at first, and still get it when I clear the history off it. However, it seems to learn that I'm going to type more and the problem goes away after a bit.

Well it works fine on my iPad must be a problem at your end. What iPad are you using is it with newest iOS? This is iPad 1 I'm using iOS 5.1. When the wife gets home I'll try it on hers as she's got iPad 3 using iOS 6.

It's an ipad 2 couldn't justify the 3 for my needs.....

I too have been having the same problem for 2 weeks,it did the same this time up to the end of the 7th word,it's getting on my nerves,our iPad was updated in apple shop recently and that may be the prob

Well, I'm sorry you're suffering too, but I'm glad it's not just me! If it doesn't sort itself I'll be taking it back into apple me thinks.....

Both iPad and iPhone seem to work fine for me. Make sure you have the latest version of iOS.

Now what would be really good would be a Stalking Directory app!

Well, I've only had the ipad for 2 weeks so I'm guessing its as up to date as it should be.....agree the app would be good!

I've had this issue with IOS (both iPhone and iPad). You need to clear the cache from Safari.

Settings -> Safari -> Clear Cookies and Data

I find the IPad to be very 'buggy' with this site, I have experienced the problem you describe and have also experienced problems where the IPad will not allow me to scroll down through threads with multiple responses. Sometimes it works fine seems pretty hit and miss to be honest.

Csl, just went to try, but it says if I do that it will clear all my login details for other sites etc, will I only need to do this once? Kinda like not having to remember all my different login details!

I get this on both phone and pad, all I do is click the icon in the top left of the reply box which is a A/A and that fixes it.

You may also need to re-start Safari

To do this:

• press the Round button twice in quick succession and it will display a ribbon of the currently running programs at the bottom
• swipe along until you find the Safari icon
• press and hold the Safari icon until it wobbles with a (-) next to it
• Press the (-)
• Press the round button

Then re-open Safari and try again.

Ah! That's interesting!!!! And would appear to work, thanks ths84, funny, having been replying to this thread a few times, it's as if the ipad has worked out what it's all about and isn't doing it now........got to love technology!
