Anybody else ride motorcycles? Post them here.

thanks I'll put that on my list.
has it got low down power for slower riding,as my cr250 is to peaky and my kxf 250 is nearly as bad.
Yes the 300 has lots of grunt in lower revs but if you Rev it they fly.
They are also cheaper to fix than a four stroke.
Lots of top tier riders use them for extream enduro there fairly light too.

I like the cheaper to fix and easily maintained, I'm sick of putting heads, valves and pistons on these newer 4 strokes

Absolutely I've been collecting for years I much prefer 2 strokes although I have a couple of 4 strokes .
I've a 2wd yamaha that's a bit rare

A KTM 350 EXC is a good compromise. Less of a handful than the 300 stroker, lighter with less of the brutal engine braking than the 500 but still plenty of go with 50 bhp. Very popular with green-laners and for good reason. But being popular they're not cheap and if you buy used you need to find one that hasn't been raced.
A mate over the road races motox and trials and he says that's what he'd have for green laning.

Not a bad choice either for me it's just the expensive if you pop the engine

I don't think you'd be likely to blow it up with green laning, as long as you stay on top of maintenance. 50 bhp is quite a lot of oomph for recreational riding and I doubt you'd find yourself rinsing it very often.
Depending on how ambitious the terrain you plan to tackle, the 690 Enduro R might not be a bad choice either. A good deal heavier and more powerful than a 350 but much more forgiving than the big crossers and more than capable for trail riding. Better road manners too if you need to cover a lot of tarmac to get to your chosen trails. And road riding service schedules as well.

Bought this monster back in February to enjoy before I get too old, 1584cc 2008 Rocker chop, stage 1 tuned built by VTM in Toulouse who apparently export chops to California. Very well finished and great attention to detail.

As it hardly ever rains anymore here in the South of France plenty of opportunities to get out to the mountains or coast. Not everyone's cup of tea but I love her!

What's not to like here with a bike like that and 5 months driven hunting 3 days a week for around 500 euros a year!?
