Copper bullet design and expansion / fragmentation

I have had a box of the Brenneke TUG and they grouped okay...haven't used any on deer yet. Price wise they are the most expensive bullets I have bought...they are in boxes of 25.

My bad, I thought the boxes where 50s not 25s - yes they bloody expensive.

The multi cored bullets have always been expensive regardless of whether they have lead or lead free cores. Hardly surprising when they must be a pain to make with expensive tooling.

By contrast monolithics are straight forward and just need a lathe and simple tools.

Like all RWS Bullets they are expensive - as in €88 for 50. Mind you the RWS ID Classic which is the original partition type bullet with twin lead cores are €84.40 for 50. Barnes TTSX by comparison are €64 and the Hornady GMX €65. Below are all their 308 offerings in Bleifrei (lead free). The Brenneke bullets would be worth a look pehaps.

I thought the Brenneke looked good but just noticed that there are only 25 bullets in a box, making them 86 Euro for 50 compared to 59.50 Euro for the Barnes.

The least expensive lead-free bullets I have found are the mono metal LeHigh Defense Controlled Chaos...they are just over £50 for 100 delivered.

A couple of weeks ago @alasdair mentioned that he had found a couple of places with them in stock...I had to wait a few months on back order.
