I had walked from home, maybe a K to a vantage spot under a Blackwood tree that I had prepped by raking the dry leaves from under it and settled behind a fallen log with my Orange Gun .300 WM. Short story is that the yellow/orange dog trotted down the farm track, sat on his ring where the "X" is and studied the cow carcase below him. Bang!
Camera captured a lot of pics of this b+t bitch over some time, she is shown here cautiously sniffing the trap drag (wooden bush pole) that I always had kept under my dogs feet in the ute so as to impart their own scent. After he was rolled his bitch mate yodelled for a week all over the place calling for him. The dogs pi$$ was used on a sponge under the pan of my trap that was set where he had last sat.
I finally arrived at the set to find it gone and the short story is that my old boy followed her across and up hill to where the drag was caught in berry canes. Bang. .22 LR.

She was of course added to the limb with hanging dogs in right back ground.
