Open ticket license renewal in Scotland

Hello people, I was chatting away to some young lads who worked on an estate and are also licenced firearms holders.....we were chatting about renewals and the lad said on your renewal you don't have to fill in the part about the land you're shooting on if you ticket is open.......is there any in truth in this?.......I suppose in a way if the ticket is open you could shoot in unlimited locations with owners permission of course 👍

I did my renewal last year here in Scotland. I was asked for a provided details of permissions and where I have been using my rifles. Fundamentally needed to demonstrate why I needed the rifles.

And I have had a fully open licence since the mid 1990’s.

Perhaps the fact that they work on an estate is evidence enough.

I wasn’t asked at renewal and our trainees weren’t asked at grant.

Previously I had a letter from a forestry firm that we contracted for as evidence.
