The old Bruno 22lr

I have a 2e that I may let go if anyone is after one?
Shortened to 16" and a cracking rifle thats accounted for many rabbits in the past but no longer gets used as I also have a Tikka T1x.

The white Winchester subs box in your pic made me smile @Smellydog that was when they were good bullets and not the more recent rubbish.

Yep, gotta love a full sized old school 22 lr 🤠 But how do you guys dryfire yours? do you have dummy rounds for them?

Just wounded how many people had one these back in the day my dad shot his more than his .223 and .243 I can remember it in late 80s and 90s it left him wen he passed in 2011 it had a really long barrel I loved that Bruno 👍
Yes. I did. A Model 1 no less. With correct BRNO mounts and 3x 'scope. I also had a Slazenger made Lithgow Model 12. The BRNO was grooved from the factory. The old Lithgow alas not.

Not a Model 2 but a Model 5 from 1958. A great rifle that I only shoot at the range now a couple of times a year.
I also have a mod 5 from 1958, but yours is in much better condition than mine.
Think I paid £75 for mine 2 years ago it’s been a great little rifle. Shot plenty of squirrels of the feeders

The build quality has stood to them even after 67yrs👍 no plastic or tin pot metal on those rifles, just walnut and steel. (well just the butt pad 🤣).

It’s as old as my dad going almost as well as he is 😂
I’ve never seen many of the mod 5’s knocking around
Your rite though, no plastic or crap tin should last for ever, I’m hoping to pass it onto one of my kids if they get into shooting

Cheers Rob

I got my start in the rimfire rifle world with an old 24" brno many years ago at my rifle club, very nice rifle to learn the basics on. They are a great platform, including the newer models/versions, although I would never buy a CZ now for other reasons.

First fox I ever shot was with a Krico.22, second one was with a Bruno mod 2 .22. The Krico was more accurate, the Bruno was faultless. I may have a spare magazine somewhere.
