Time for separate private / trade classifieds sections?

Actually can you set this up.

I am bored with Trade Members advertising every damn box of bullets they have by calibre and weight. All they have to say is we have Barnes bullets for sale and list it in one post.

This is supposed to be a forum not an advertising column.

Which has to be funded?

If you don’t like the Classifieds section as it distracts you from the core deer management & welfare threads don’t view it?

do like private adds good for members who are private individuals wanting to sell. Do think some trade sellars are getting "pushy" some do not reply, you know who you are! imo they only want your money and buying privately from a genuine private member gives both parties a better deal. would not bother me if they were not here. just my opinion it's a free country.

Just been in Classifieds, I agree with some of the criticism of one or two traders, Is it not beyond their comprehension, to set an advert to contain all of one sort / type of item for sale with attendant pics?, Instead of stuffing a whole page.?

Well the more we add the more time it takes to patrol it. God knows we still have those joining and advertising without paying, banned another this morning.
It works well what we have, so I dont really believe it will make any difference, by adding further columns. And we will also get many who think they can just post in it despite not being a registered trader.

As for advertising and the few moans we get, well that also helps pay for the site running. We have just upgraded the memory space again to make sure we are ahead of the game, and this costs more each month. not taking into account the vast amount of time we give to moderate the site, and Alex tackling all IT problems, who is a legend in my opinion :).

We must be doing something right, with close on 27,000 members.

Click or phone for pricing? Nah,never, nope!
They musy lose sales.

When Im looking for items its in the evening when theyre shut. I've got 10 windows open on the pc comparing sites and prices.

If they cant be bothered to run their site properly I wont buy from them, same goes for sites that look like they're from 1995, nope.

Yes that's exactly it,we are conditioned to immediacy in this modern computer age and another is having to click 10 effn pages to find something that they don`t have.
As far as comparing prices one would think that those that are selling would predetermine wtf the opposition prices are at the time.......it pays to look up 4-5-10 sites for comparisons and generally save a lot of money.
