Viper flex Carbon or Aluminium

Other than a weight reduction is there any other advantage of carbon fibre over the aluminium viper flex quads?
Thanks

Not sure if they’ve changed the spec but when I bought my carbon (journey) ones I did so specifically as they broke down into shorter sections as I wanted to take them to Namibia so packing small was important, they may have evolved since then?

So the consensus appears to be:-

1. If you suffer from cold hands, then get the carbon ones.

2. Otherwise it you tend to be a bit forgetful and are prone to driving over them, then the aluminium ones are recommended.

The viper flex journey are aluminium and and carbon breaking down into 3 sections.

The pro-to-go are brand new style and are all carbon.

Whether or not you get cold hands, aluminium does really take the heat out your hands. With the journey, I have always just held the carbon part and certainly knew about the cold if I grab the aluminium section. Recently got the pro to go and no issue there.

I have a set of journey Styx I’ll be selling soon if of interest!

After putting on the heat wrap and covering the holes I’ve tried both types and my thoughts would be it doesn’t matter on the materials to be honest tweak em up how you want them and they are a great bit of kit, warm to carry and silent still getting used to mine particularly on setting up for the shot but a nice step up from the tripod I used for years just need a wee bit of practice to start off 👍
