Speak as you find, and i find this forum a refreshing change from some others i visit, spend a bit of time on the THL forum, on there you only have to breath and someone jumps down your throat, and mention a certain dog breeder, well you will get seriously burnt.
Thankfully i have not seen this kind of keyboard warrior mentality on here.

Steve, I think you are right, its no suprise though is it? It will be only a matter of time and they will be thrown off again.
Good news about the F&M looks as though the restrictions are being lifted.

We were out making the most of the opportunity at the weekend as well. 3 foxes 2 dogs and 1 vixen and 4 3/4 grown cubs. Saw as many again but couldn't get a safe shot in. We'll be back out on them tonight as well as at the weekend. Your not using that 6.5X284 on them are you? Bet that chews them up a bit!

Never used the 6.5X284 on anything other than official club targets.
I use a .243AI and 7Ogr BT's for all of my vermin shooting.

As for breaking the law deer stalking during the restrictions!
I grassed the deer at 0700 hrs ish, but was only told of the possiblity of a F&M outbreak two hours later, No restrictions were in place. So no not guilty.
At this rate I will have to phone DEFRA everytime I leave the house!

Captain Scarlet was a 'Sci-fi' show produced by Gerry and Sylivia Anderson. It involved a group called 'Spectrum' who were like space aged world cops. They had women fighter pilots called 'Angels' and super agents Captain Scarlet, Captain Blue, Captain Magenta etc who fought aliens called 'The Mysterons' who could enter peoples bodies and make them do bad things like blow up planes and stuff.
The big deal was that Captain Scarlet (modelled on Cary Grant) could not die! Every week he got killed but just kept getting back up! His Arch enemy was Captain Black who was taken over by the 'Mysterons, and turned to the dark side!
So you have world police and the baddies who looked like ordinary people, but carried out terrorist attacks on other people because they didn't argee with the way they went about their lives!
That could be said about the world today! George Bush is wooden and has people pulling his strings! But the great British public like Captain Scarlet

But thank you for sharing the information with us all. I am sure there were other people out stalking who knew nothing of any restrictions until later that day.

Errm, didnt this thread start off with how light and fluffy this site has become, it occurs to me that has kind of got lost along the way. 
Sorry mole trapper, if you look through the various post you find that certain people have a problem with other site members enjoying each others posts. They slag off novice stalkers and try to discredit experienced ones. They stifle the friendly banter and expect everyone to believe that their way is the only way. Why I don't know.
They always come back under new names, then their vanity gets the better of them and they start with the nasty pm's and the p1ss taking. many very good stalkers have got off the site because they get fed up with the bull shot!
I won't be dictated to by 'arris holes'! This site has a 'pleathora' of good stalkers willing to help new stalkers out. Unfortunately all you see is the posts of the self obessed and sad.
I can tell you now, give it a day or two and someone else will start with the insults and back biting! Thing is they will be the same people just different names.
I myself changed name, just to show how easy it is. Respect to Rob Mac, but it is impossible to keep these people or person off!

AH Beowulf, these will be key board warriors that i have heard of, larger than life on the net, then you meet them at game fairs and they are wholly dissapointing, usually very quiet and found lurking in the corner of the beer tent.
Have experienced these sort off the HTL forum, but to be fair like you say there are the good, genuine people to if you look hard enough.

Yep you got it on the head Mole trapper. Funny old thing, I was just reading a post by swampy. He was having trouble with 'Nemo' taking the pee about the damage to the crown on his rifle barrel. Rob got in quick and Nemo was for the chop! Fair play to Swampy, he was polite and stated his case well. that made Nemo look a bigger fool!
There was a time when Swampy, Malcolm and myself all left the site for the very same reason, Trolls. I think we all thought,'Why should we go, we have done nothing wrong'?
I'm glad to say that all three of us are back, enjoying the company of like minded people.
