Home office consultation on deregulating sound moderators

But could they make them close to section 2 items in that you didn’t need a specific slot, that you could just by or sell provided you showed your certificate at either transaction?

Recorded and notified like a shotgun but no need for individual authority to possess.

Or is that just too sensible a solution?

I think the article touches on something similar.

Way too intellectual for the public sector!

Never ceases to amaze me the lack of common sense....its a tube...well they're tubes too but back on track...in its unfitted guise its no more dangerous than a length of any other tube, yes you could bludgeon someone with one but really!?

Gangsta types are not super spy 007's they don't want hush hush Hollywood quiet mouse fart pew pews...because we all know they're that quiet. They want something nice and loud that has flames breathing dragon status for their street cred.

OK there's an element for saftey for pressures etc but any mod can take a ding and have a baffle strike or build of of powder and go boom.

It's a money making spin to crucify the law abiding types like us and no one else, period!

The pdf article says it's hard to identify bullets shot through a moderator as it wipes the barrels mark off the bullet 🤔.
Where do these deluded edits get this stuff from?

If I could knock up a moderator on a lathe within a short period of time I'm sure a crim could. Absolutely bonkers country.

Surely if the mod wipes the rifling marks from the bullet they would want mods banned as all our murderous sniper weekends wouldn’t be traced

All the moderator wipes that I've ever seen or read about were made of rubber or some other soft flexible synthetic material. I can't imagine any of them being capable of wiping rifling indentations off a bullet.

These people are living in the world of Ian Flemming, I suppose they also want to outlaw the use of frozen water (ice) bullets.

If you Google 5/8X24 fuel filter then you'll see what you can buy online in the UK without any paperwork anyway. No need to find someone with a lathe.

Funny as I didn't know many car manufacturers used 5/8X24 thread for their fuel filters, one ones with no actual filtering ability!

Had fewer people been hoodwinked by the Labour "we will look after working people" lies, then the Conservatives would have tabled legislation about now. 😢

Have we still got the elfin safety ticket thats how i convinced my feo when i mentioned tinnitus

I emailed BASC recently about this and received the following reply:

"Whilst BASC has indeed been in contact with the Home Office on this issue, the matter of relevant legislation is not considered a high priority by the new Labour government, who is very much focussed on knife crime, the immigration crisis, public sector pay disputes, and to a degree ‘crossbows’. We remain hopeful that suitable legislation will be enacted, but in all reality this is likely to be 2025 at the earliest."
