Which is the best digi scope

I would hope that the average person would be open to nuance- and would distinguish between lots of humans and animals vs 1 wild fox- and other forms of shooting.

Ignoring the suffering a fox would go through from a bunch of terrier men- the average joe on the street has a sense of fair play and numbers. 1 animal vs lots of humans/dogs doesn't seem fair to many. Especially when the animal has retreated to its home.
Not sure where you're getting the "lots of humans & dogs" thing from - Disney perhaps?? Anyways, you do you. 👍

I've never heard so much bollocks in my life, your knowledge of terrier work obviously comes from the league against cruel sports Bull **** website, and I would ask you to refrain from commenting about topics you know **** all about.

On that proper train of thought. Ben. Have you got any more of an update on the new alpex? What ir you using? How easy is it to use? Have you got any footage from it?
Back on track.
The Alpex 4k is brilliant, you will not be disappointed. I love it so much I now have 2.
Use the Sirrius Reach Ir which is great , all you need.
It is very easy to use and on a bright night no Ir is required , I shot a fox Saturday night at 181yds with no Ir.
The rangefinder and ballistic calculator are also easy to use .
I've got footage but unable to share.

Bought an Alpex 4K LRF & Habrok HE25 4K binos recently from the local RD in the Black Friday deals, superb for my use. What a step up the Alpex is from the Infiray TD50L, cannot recommend it highly enough.

Hi mate.

At the fear of sounding like @FoxHunter - the alpex really is brilliant. Personally I'm finding it really easy to use, far more intuitive (think that's right word for it). I haven't read the instructions but where I think the right button should be, it is! The menu system, using 'elevation' turret is really easy & common sense (especially compared to pard008).

I've only used dark engine blade so far & it's spot on. Flood it gives enough illumination to see target & surrounding (I don't use base much, starting on x7). I'm going to try my old MK1 srx one night this week. Was out Saturday just gone and despite no shots, saw lots of deer, woodcock, hares & of course sheep - could have shot any of them past 200yd with absolutely no IR. I couldn't believe my eyes the image just by moonlight.

I've not really use it much in daylight apart from to zero which was easy at 100yd. It's not glass. Even my cheaper glass gives finer detail in day.

The weight isn't as much of an issue as I thought it would be, but you can definitely feel it on rifle. Bit lighter would be nice.

My only slight complaint would be it jumps from base to x7 with nothing in-between, but then from 7 onwards you can either have it jump in blocks or go up .1 each click.

I've not done any recording. Never think to tbh. Can film some bits this week - might have to read instructions for that bit!!

I'd be happy to pop round yours in NY mate & you have a look yourself.

🤟

Ben, you can sort the zoom.
If you have it set on fixed reticle and continuous zoom it goes from 3.5 up in increments.
If you have it set on center reticle and continuous it goes from 3.5 to 7 and then up in increments.

Ahh did not know that!! Thanks mate. I'll have to see how central ret is on fixed setting 👍

How does the fixed and centre reticle work please? I had a fiddle when zeroing and couldn't figure out what they were doing so left it alone! Not sure what it's set on now but when I tried continuous zoom I found i needed too many clicks to increase magnification so maybe it was on the wrong setting? I now have it on increments and it goes 3.5 - 7 - 14 - 28x which is a bit coarse to be honest but I'm not keen on fiddling now it's zeroed!

Also, how does the Alpex battery system work please? I had a battery low symbol in the viewfinder this morning but it's only been on an hour or two since charge and when I put the external battery in the charger it was showing full. The internal battery is still charging now (a couple of hours later) so I suspect this was the "low" one but when does it use the external battery?

The internal battery has an up to 11 hrs life according to the specs. I've been out 2 nights before without having to charge the scope so wouldn't worry about battery life.

You have the zoom set to continuous, leave it at that.
If you go into settings and you will find the centre or fixed reticle option.
If you choose centre and come back out of the menu your scope will zoom from 3.5 to 7.5 and then up in single increments.

Thank you. Presume changing from fixed to centre doesn't change zero / POI?

Also, what does centre and fixed reticle actually mean - I couldn't find a description anywhere?
