Won't be needing their number. Not dealing with a outfit like thatThey're now offering us 20p/kg for reds!
Is that a recent figure? What are they paying for Roe at the moment??They're now offering us 20p/kg for reds!

Certainly don’t give people much incentive to struggle with redsFigure was from 2 weeks ago. Not sure what roe are?
Or just not shoot them20p/kg folk will leave em lying
Still plenty folk will .... always been those who only interested in pulling a triggerOr just not shoot them
I'll remind you of that statement!!!!Certainly don’t give people much incentive to struggle with reds

Quite, when I mentioned that about the fallow does the "managers" are the type of people who turn up at the airport with no passport as they started packing too late.Normal practice towards end of hind season for prices to drop
My local dealer stops taken them in about a week or two before the end
Better that than dropping prices
Moral is don’t feck about - get on your grounds, do your job and kill the deer early
Roe are currently £1.50/KG collected.Figure was from 2 weeks ago. Not sure what roe are?
Haunch?Roe are currently £1.50/KG collected.
50% reduction for saddle shot
35% 1 haunch (2 haunch rejected)
Shoulder shot (1) 10% reduction
Shoulder shot (2) 20% reduction
They pay a month in arrears and I have found them to be a reliable company to deal with.
I Thaught i was a bad shot some days but both haunches is beyond my skill setHaunch?
I just copied the details off the collection sheet I had to hand.Haunch?
I had them collect a good few carcasses last year, ALL were head/neck shot. Later got money knocked off because 2 were shot through the saddle!!I just copied the details off the collection sheet I had to hand.
I can only take it that some folk have submitted haunch damaged carcasses in the past?
Personally I am always minded that it is my name attached to the carcass tag and make sure I present the cleanest and tidiest carcass I can.
Even seeing stuff that hasn’t had the legs removed at the flat joint drives me crazy, if I saw something that was haunch damaged I’d probably lose my mind!
Why some people choose to use a game dealer as a dumping ground for average quality deer carcasses is beyond me.
Take your time at every step of the process and take a bit of pride producing the premium product wild venison can be.
To be fair, sometimes you don't see the extent of the damage until the skin comes off:I had them collect a good few carcasses last year, ALL were head/neck shot. Later got money knocked off because 2 were shot through the saddle!!
No way on earth they were!!

You don't get something like that from a head /neck shot though do you?To be fair, sometimes you don't see the extent of the damage until the skin comes off:

(Not my carcass, btw. Someone asked me to butcher 7 sika for him. In his opinion they were all reasonably tidily shot. My opinion was somewhat different from his!)
