End of the trophy Hunt bill

Aside from the local knob head who needs evicting whatever the GE outcome I can't but help thinking that Trophy Hunting Bill was actually a Tory manifesto pledge?

Politics is politics

But simply from a "shooting" viewpoint Labour would be a disaster

Regrettably the same applies to the Isle of Wight, put a blue rosette on the biggest waste of space that god has created and he will get elected. Fortunately the Labour opponent who you can have a sensible conversation with is in with a chance next time.
Ditto, we’re on our second Conservative parachutist MP, now environment secretary. Frankly I am hoping for a hung Parliament at the next election as none of them deserve to be in power.

I have two heads in my shooting room. I would like more. These animals had a good life and a good death and were both eaten afterwards. I look at and reflect upon them often. They are not trophies to me, they are memories. Special memories, from a special time and a special place.

Yes, but I think it was a Carrie Symonds/Goldsmith fiasco. Sunak was the MP for Richmond and spoke in favour of grouse shooting, he’s best case scenario IMO.
I see where you are coming from but there's no point in voting for an anti whatever party they represent

Which ever way you look at it we is F*%ked, continue with what we have ? Labour and whoever jumps in bed with them greens, SNP proper f*%ked.

Look at Labour in Wales Tim

They will be a disaster for us
The major political parties are promising more powers for devolution.
There are also plans to increase the number of senedd members. What with lowering the age of voters there is no hope for fieldsports in Wales.

Looks like its been binned, thank god. No doubt the idiots who know sod all will raise it again in the future. Especially if Labour or Greens get in power.
Both houses of Parliament are now in recess for 3-4 weeks until 16th October (#9 - latest). The bill has to be back from the Lords in time for the Report stage scheduled in the Commons on 20th October. After that there may be a bit of parliamentary ping pong, but nothing serious. The government intends to have its way. The Hunting Trophies (Import Prohibition) ban should get 'Royal Assent' in November, or by the end of the 2022-2023 session in December.
I'll bet money on that.:tiphat:

Agree to a point. The local Labour guy admits to enjoying eating pheasant, our old Harrovian Tory MP appears to look down on his constituents as his inferiors and as far as I'm concerned quite the worst MP of any party that we have had representing us in living memory!
i see your MP and raise you mine , matt hancock!
