Aside from the local knob head who needs evicting whatever the GE outcome I can't but help thinking that Trophy Hunting Bill was actually a Tory manifesto pledge?
Politics is politics
But simply from a "shooting" viewpoint Labour would be a disaster

Ditto, we’re on our second Conservative parachutist MP, now environment secretary. Frankly I am hoping for a hung Parliament at the next election as none of them deserve to be in power.Regrettably the same applies to the Isle of Wight, put a blue rosette on the biggest waste of space that god has created and he will get elected. Fortunately the Labour opponent who you can have a sensible conversation with is in with a chance next time.
I see where you are coming from but there's no point in voting for an anti whatever party they representYes, but I think it was a Carrie Symonds/Goldsmith fiasco. Sunak was the MP for Richmond and spoke in favour of grouse shooting, he’s best case scenario IMO.
Yes they will, remember the pistol ban?If shooting is stopped and outlawed only outlaws will have guns.
So listen to me pardner, they ain't getting mine.![]()
Terrible thing dementia,.makes you forget where you put things.Yes they will, remember the pistol ban?
John Major?Yes they will, remember the pistol ban?
Didn't he ban all except for .22 and then Blair banned the lot.John Major?
Yes, which just proves where shooting sports are concerned both the Tories and Labour are just as bad as each otherDidn't he ban all except for .22 and then Blair banned the lot.

If Bob Seely was your MP you'd take the chance regardlessLook at Labour in Wales Tim
They will be a disaster for us
If Labour get a big majority then for sure , Just like last time with the hunting Bill !Looks like its been binned, thank god. No doubt the idiots who know sod all will raise it again in the future. Especially if Labour or Greens get in power.
The major political parties are promising more powers for devolution.Look at Labour in Wales Tim

Both houses of Parliament are now in recess for 3-4 weeks until 16th October (#9 - latest). The bill has to be back from the Lords in time for the Report stage scheduled in the Commons on 20th October. After that there may be a bit of parliamentary ping pong, but nothing serious. The government intends to have its way. The Hunting Trophies (Import Prohibition) ban should get 'Royal Assent' in November, or by the end of the 2022-2023 session in December.Looks like its been binned, thank god. No doubt the idiots who know sod all will raise it again in the future. Especially if Labour or Greens get in power.

i see your MP and raise you mine , matt hancock!Agree to a point. The local Labour guy admits to enjoying eating pheasant, our old Harrovian Tory MP appears to look down on his constituents as his inferiors and as far as I'm concerned quite the worst MP of any party that we have had representing us in living memory!
